About Me

This is a website that I'm using to write about the things I've learned about intellectual property and other various interests. This is not legal advice, so please consult an attorney if you have any specific issues.

A Little About Me

I am a patent attorney registered to practice before the state of Texas and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. I currently live in the South Eastern Oklahoma. I have been married since 2007 and have fraternal twin daughters. As a physicist lawyer, I love studying the legal and scientific ramifications resulting from the advent of new technologies. I’m particularly interested in intellectual property ("I.P.") and business start ups. one of my motivations in writing this is to create a discussion on some of the big problems facing entrepreneurs. This motivation is partially driven by some of the misunderstandings I've heard people say.

My background is quite varied. I graduated for Texas A&M University School of Law in May 2017. I received my Master of Science in physics from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2010. For my undergraduate degree I majored in physics and minored in math. I'm a former adjunct professor of physics and have worked in the field of science and technology for more than ten years. I've  published in the field of physics, and spoken and various conferences and symposia. I have experience in patent applications, patentability studies, and freedom to operate analysis. I have also worked on both provisional and non-provisional patents, which were subsequently granted. I have participated the “3 Day Start-Up” at Texas A&M, where I joined with business, engineering, and other students to make a conception to execution plan.
